Writing My Way Home

ABOUT ME
I'm a mom-with-a-job, an almost-ex-wife, and a fatherless daughter.
I like to think I'm a good friend.
I write because, when I don't, my life runs out of gas and I inevitably end up stuck somewhere and in a bad mood. My creative non-fiction and fiction has appeared in a few places, including:
The New York Times' Modern Love
I grew up in New York, went to college in Ohio, and now I live in Northeast Portland, Oregon with my two awesome sons.
Sometimes, I say, "I want to go home" out loud, to no one, even when I am in my house. I'm still not totally sure what that means.
I write to try to find out.
