I keep thinking about Christine Blasey Ford today. I keep remembering how brave and inspiring she was to speak out when and how she did. I keep wondering how she’s doing–how it might feel to know that, despite her heroic efforts, the same person who exposed her to two life traumas will now have a hand in exposing so many more people to so much more trauma.
And then this hummingbird flew right up onto my porch and I watched it for a while as it flitted around a flower.
I don’t know if these two things are related. All I know is that this world is broken and this world is beautiful and I’m doing my best today not to forget either.
